Cherokee County Fair is annually held at the fairgrounds located on Hickory Street. The first Cherokee County Fair was held in 1872. The first carnival was featured in 1956, 84 years after the beginning of the fair. Cherokee County Fair is a family-friendly event that offers lots of fun and entertainment for attendees of all ages. The event features livestock, demo derby, truck & tractor pulls, games, family craft exhibits, kids’ activities, contests, and so much more. In 2024, the five-day Cherokee County Fair will be held from Wednesday, July 17 to Sunday, July 21.
