The 27th Annual Blowing Rock WinterFest

WinterFest is a lively winter festival, held each year in Blowing Rock, NC. In 1997, Blowing Rock’s business community decided to create a festival in order to celebrate the fun side of winter and so the WinterFest debuted in January 1998. The four-day festival features a polar bear plunge, chili cook-off, ice carving, music, shopping, demonstrations, competitions, and more. In 2025, the Blowing Rock WinterFest will take place from Thursday, January 23 to Sunday, January 26.
