About the Parade
The Holiday Parade takes place each December in Downtown Dallas. The first parade was held on December 3, 1988, and attracted a huge crowd of about 70,000 people. Today, the Holiday Parade is Dallas’s largest single-day outdoor event. The parade kicks off the holiday season for the community and has become a winter tradition for thousands of families throughout North Texas and beyond. In 2024, the Dallas Holiday Parade will take place on Saturday, December 7.
