Admission
An Admission fee will be charged for ages six and above to attend the Kern County Fair. Admission is free for children up to five years old.
Active and retired military personnel can also enter for free with military ID.

About the Kern County Fair
Kern County Fair is annually organized at the 160-acre fairgrounds in Bakersfield, California. The event was first held on August 5, 1916. During the early years, the fair was organized at different locations. In the year 1952, the fair found its permanent home and was held for the first time at the present fairgrounds.
Kern County Fair is a family-friendly event that offers lots of fun and entertainment for people of all ages. The fair features livestock, food, rides, horses, and more. In 2024, the twelve-day Kern County Fair will be held from Wednesday, September 18 to Sunday, September 29.
