Breckenridge’s International Snow Sculpture Championships annually takes place in Downtown Breckenridge, Colorado. Snow sculpting teams from around the world participate in the event to hand-carve 25-ton blocks of snow into enormous, intricate works of art. Interestingly, no power tools are permitted in the snow sculpting competition as artists are only allowed to use hand tools to bring their ideas to life. In 2024, the ten-day Breckenridge International Snow Sculpture Championships will take place from Friday, January 22 to Wednesday, January 31.
