About the Fair
Calhoun County Fair is held annually at the fairgrounds in Marshall, MI. The town of Marshall hosted the first Calhoun County Agricultural and Industrial Society Fair on November 5, 1839. In 1845, a Mechanics Fair was held at the “Capitol Hill” site in Marshall. The Calhoun County Agricultural and Industrial Society was reorganized in 1848 and the next event was held in 1949. And at that time it was decided to make it an annual event.
The weeklong event features livestock, contests, demolition derby, games, food, entertainment, and lots of fun. In 2024, the seven-day Calhoun County Fair will take place from Sunday, August 11 to Saturday, August 17.
