About the Fair
Elkhart County 4-H Fair is annually organized at the 380-acre fairgrounds in Goshen, Indiana. It is a family-friendly event that offers something for everyone. The fair features livestock, rides, grandstand, exhibits, food, fun, entertainment, contests, and more.
The county fair was first held in 1851 on the Goshen Court House square. In 1955, the 4-H club fair that had been held separately at Rice Field, merged with the county fair in Goshen to become the Elkhart County 4-H Fair. Through the years, the event has evolved into one of the largest fairs in Indiana. In 2024, the nine-day Elkhart County 4-H Fair will be held from Friday, July 19 to Saturday, July 27.
