About the State Fair
Georgia Carolina State Fair is annually held at the fairgrounds on Hale Street in Augusta, Georgia. It was previously known as Augusta Exchange Club Fair, and the name was changed to recognize that the event draws from and benefits residents from both sides of the Savannah River. The current fairgrounds was initially the old baseball field where many major league teams practiced and played exhibition games. The field was purchased in 1937 and ever since the fair is held there each year.
This family-oriented event offers plenty of fun, entertainment, activities, and contests in a friendly, clean, and safe environment. The fair features livestock, agricultural exhibits, food, rides, competitions, pageants, and more. In 2024, the ten-day Georgia Carolina State Fair will be held from Friday, October 18 to Sunday, October 27.
