Yes
Will Ferndale fair rides be open on Saturday
When is hat day for horse races for this year
My father was a racehorse trainer before he passed away WAY too early, at the age of 61.
I spent every summer with him going from fair to fair with the horses. Ferndale was my favorite one. It was like camping in the most beautiful location around. I loved watching the horses run on Ferndale’s half mile track, seeing quarter horses who are not used to making turns have to do so, seeing appys making multiple turns, and watching the thoroughbreds go round and round. Horses that would normally be a sure bet get beat by horses that were just so so.
The people in the community and the weather were a very pleasant change from gang bangers in 105’ heat.
I’ve been up twice since my dad passed, and I’m looking forward to coming back up this year. Ferndale, here we come❣️❣️❣️
