Illinois State Fair is an annual festival held in mid-August at the 366-acre Illinois State Fairgrounds in the state capital, Springfield. Hosted by the Illinois Department of Agriculture, the fair centers on the theme of agriculture. Moreover, it is a family-friendly and fun-filled event that offers something for everyone. Illinois State Fair features rides, food, music, kids’ activities, livestock, harness racing, auto races, and more.
