International Cherry Blossom Festival takes place annually at Carolyn Crayton Park in Macon, GA. Every year in March, Macon becomes pink with over 350,000 Yoshino cherry tree blooms. For 10 days, an extravagant display of springtime color welcomes the festival attendees. The first Cherry Blossom Festival was held in 1982. The festival had a humble beginning but quickly became one of the top events in the South. The festival celebrates gorgeous Cherry trees and blooms in the town of Macon. The event also features a parade, bed race, food, hot air balloon rides, food, festivities, and more. In 2022, the ten-day International Cherry Blossom Festival will take place from Friday, March 18 to Sunday, March 27.
