Merced County Fair is annually held in June at the fairgrounds on Martin Luther King Jr. Way. The first fair started on Wednesday, September 2, 1891, and was held in a pavilion on 18th Street. However, the beginning of the Merced County Fair “as we know it today” was a two-day event held in September 1929. The fair moved to its current location in 1931. Merced County Fair is a family-friendly event that offers lots of fun and entertainment for all ages. The event features livestock, delicious food, exhibits, carnival rides, competitions, and so much more. In 2023, the five-day Merced County Fair will be held from Wednesday, June 7 to Sunday, June 11.

Tickets are required for ages 6 and above to enter Merced County Fair. Children ages 5 and under can enter for free.
