About the Fair
North Dakota State Fair (NDSF) is held annually in July at the North Dakota State Fair Center located along Burdick Expressway in Minot. The fair’s earliest roots date back to 1922, when the fair in Minot was first held but was not officially sanctioned by the state government until 1965. Today, North Dakota State Fair is one of the largest events and most widely celebrated community traditions in the state.
NDSF is a family-friendly and fun-filled event that offers plenty of entertainment and exciting activities for everyone. The fair features carnival rides, food, agricultural exhibits, live music, rodeo performances, a demolition derby, and so much more. In 2024, the nine-day North Dakota State Fair will be held from Friday, July 19 to Saturday, July 27.
