About the Festival
Shippensburg Corn Festival is held every year on the last Saturday in August. It is a fun community event with food, entertainment, crafts, corn-eating contests, a car show, and more.
The festival is presented by the Corn Festival Committee. Original name of the Committee was Shippensburg Heritage and Recreation Planning Society(SHARP). A group of local residents formed SHARP out of concern for the demolition of some of the oldest buildings in their historic community.
The corn festival was created as a fundraiser for SHARP. To date, the festival has donated over $400,000 to local projects. In 2024, the Shippensburg Corn Festival will take place on Saturday, August 31.
