About the Fair
Skowhegan State Fair is a family-friendly and fun-filled event held each year at the fairgrounds located on Constitution Avenue in Skowhegan, Maine. The fair began in 1818 and has run without interruption, through the great depression, two world wars, and other calamities.
Skowhegan State Fair is a more than 200 year old tradition that offers plenty of entertainment and exciting activities for everyone. The fair features midway rides, live music, food, 4-H Shows & Exhibits, truck & tractor pulls, demolition derbies, harness horse racing, livestock, commercial vendors, and more. In 2024, the ten-day Skowhegan State Fair will be held from Thursday, August 8 to Saturday, August 17.
