About Unionville Community Fair
Unionville Community Fair is held annually at the fairgrounds located along Street Road in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania. The fair started as a corn show in 1924 at a school building(presently Unionville Elementary School).
Unionville Community Fair had humble beginnings as only four tables were put up in the school’s hall – one for each of the 4 classes i.e. Poultry, Fruit, Field Crops, and Vocational Home Economics. The only received entries were corns – and therefore the first fair turned out to be a “Corn Show”.
Unionville Community Fair has evolved into a widely celebrated community tradition that features numerous attractions. The fair offers livestock shows, field crops, arts & crafts, other exhibits, vendors, demonstrations, hayrides, pony rides, live music, contests, kids’ activities, stage entertainment, food booths, and more. In 2023, the three-day Unionville Community Fair will begin on Friday, October 13 and end on Sunday, October 15.
