Watermelon Festival Parade: The parade will begin at 9:00 am at the corner of 6th Street & 15th Avenue and travel East on 15th Avenue ending at Owens Street.

About the Cordele Watermelon Days Festival
The Watermelon Days Festival is held annually at Lake Blackshear Resort and Downtown Cordele, Georgia. Cordele is also known as “The Watermelon Capital of the World” because a great number of watermelons are produced in the area.
First held in 1949, the Cordele Watermelon Days Festival is a family-friendly event featuring watermelon fun, contests, vendors, a parade, and lots of fresh watermelons. In 2024, the Cordele Watermelon Days Festival will take place on Saturday, June 22.
