The DuQuoin State Fair is annually held at the beautiful, multi-purpose fairgrounds on Executive Drive. The fair was first held in the year 1923. It has been owned and operated by the State of Illinois since 1986. The fair features livestock, entertainment, exhibits, rodeos, harness racing, auto racing, and more. In 2024, the eleven-day, Du Quoin State Fair will take place from Friday, August 23 to Monday, September 2.
