About the Christmas Festival
Natchitoches Christmas Festival features community-based holiday celebrations – including parades, fireworks, Christmas lights, and other festivities. The festival also offers a large variety of food items, festival poster contests, pageants, the Santa Claus house, entertainment, and more.
Natchitoches Christmas Festival was first presented in 1927 to celebrate the Christmas season. What started as a one-day event in 1927 has evolved into a six-week-long Christmas Season attended by thousand, and featuring over 300,000 lights and 100 plus set pieces on display every night at dusk.
Every year, the festival season begins on the Saturday before Thanksgiving and concludes on the Epiphany(January 6th). Natchitoches Christmas Festival for this season will begin on Saturday, November 18th, 2023 and will continue till Saturday, January 6th, 2024.
