Muslims across the world celebrate Eid-ul-Fitr on the 1st of Shawal(tenth Islamic month). In some countries, it is celebrated for up to three days. Muslims living in Sydney celebrate this event every year with great enthusiasm. Muslims fast during the holy month of Ramadan and the Eid festival marks the end of Ramadan. Eid-ul-Fitr is also known as Eid-al-Fitr, Eid-al-Sagheer, Ramazan Bayrami, Choti Eid, Meethi Eid, Lebaran, Sugar Feast, and Seker Bayrami.
In 2024, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in Sydney on Wednesday, 10 April.
