About the Clay County Fair
Clay County Fair is organized annually at the fairgrounds in Spencer. It is a family-friendly event that offers something for all ages. The fair features rides, games, entertainment, activities, contests, food, fun, and more.
The Clay County Fair Association was established in 1917 and the first modern Clay County Fair was held in 1918. In 1928 over 110,000 people attended the event making it one of the most successful fairs in the United States. In 2024, the nine-day Clay County Fair will be held from Saturday, September 7 to Sunday, September 15.
