About Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival
Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival is an annual event that takes place over the first weekend in October at Elk Grove Regional Park. First held in 1994, it is a family-friendly and fun-filled event that offers something for everyone.
Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival features rides, games, arts & crafts, food booths, commercial vendors, and live music. Pumpkins are the main highlight of many events at the festival including giant pumpkin weigh-offs, kids’ pumpkin cupcake baking contests, pumpkin recipe contests, a pumpkin food court, pumpkin decorating, giant pumpkin drops, the giant pumpkin regatta, and more.
In 2024, the two-day Elk Grove Giant Pumpkin Festival will be held on Saturday, October 5 and Sunday, October 6.
