About the Holiday River Parade
Ford Holiday River Parade is a San Antonio tradition that begins at Tobin Center and arrives later in other areas. Annually held the day after Thanksgiving, the spectacular themed parade kicks off the lighting of the River Walk and the holiday season in San Antonio.
The event features illuminating 100,000 lights and 28 illuminated floats. These lights remain on the trees till shortly after New Year’s Day and are turned on from sunset to sunrise daily. In 2024, The Ford Holiday River Parade and River Lighting Ceremony will take place on Friday, November 29.
