About the Festival
Peanut Festival is an annual event that takes place in the City Park in Grapeland, Texas. The festival was first held in September 1945 and was then called ‘Goober Carnival’. After being called Goober Carnival for the first six years, the event became known as the Peanut Festival in 1951.
Peanut Festival is a family-friendly event that offers lots of fun, entertainment, and activities for everyone. The festival features a parade, live music, arts & crafts vendors, tasty food, carnival rides, peanut queen coronation, and more. In 2024, the Grapeland Peanut Festival will take place from Thursday, October 10 to Saturday, October 12.
