About the Fair
The Metcalfe Fair is an agricultural fair that has been held annually since 1856 in the village of Metcalfe. The fair was originally organized by the County of Russell Agricultural Society. In 1912, this agricultural society changed its name to the Metcalfe Agricultural Society. Today Metcalfe Fair is one of Ontario’s premier agricultural exhibitions. There is something for everyone at the fair from agricultural education, livestock and horse shows, entertainment, food, fun, competitions, homecraft exhibits, and more. In 2023, the four-day Metcalfe Fair will be held from Thursday, September 28 to Sunday, October 1.
