About the Fair
The Northwestern Michigan Fair is held each year at the fairgrounds located along Blair Townhall Road in Traverse City. Although the fair’s earliest roots date back to 1873 when a fair was held in this region; the Northwestern Michigan Fair officially began in 1908.
Northwestern Michigan Fair is a family-friendly and fun-filled event that celebrates the rich agricultural heritage of the region. The fair features livestock, poultry, talent shows, truck & tractor pulls, horse pulls, monster trucks, rodeo performances, amusement rides, food, and more. In 2024, the seven-day Northwestern Michigan Fair will take place from Sunday, August 4 to Saturday, August 10.
