About the Fair
Fryeburg Fair is annually organized at the 185-acre fairgrounds on Main Street. The fair is always held during the first week of October. It all started in 1851 when a few local farmers and merchants got together and decided to show off their harvest and wares. The fair has flourished since the first event in 1851 and now attracts over 200,000 people annually.
Fryeburg Fair is a family-friendly event that offers lots of fun and entertainment for attendees of all ages. The event also hosts thousands of animals including sheep, racehorses, rabbits, poultry, etc. In 2024, the eight-day Fryeburg Fair will be held from September 29 to October 6.
