The 184th Erie County Fair

Erie County Fair began as a one-day event in 1841. After being held in Buffalo for the first few years, the fair was moved to different locations including Lancaster, Aurora, and Springville. In 1868 the fair was moved to its current location in Hamburg and has remained here ever since. Erie County Agricultural Society organizes the event every year in August at the 275-acre fairgrounds in Hamburg. In 2024, the 12-day Erie County Fair will be held from Wednesday, August 7 to Sunday, August 18.
