About the Fair
Greene Dreher Sterling Fair (GDS Fair) is an agricultural fair held each year at the fairgrounds located along Crestmont Drive in Newfoundland, Pennsylvania. The fair was established in 1917 by a school teacher Miss Ella Nevin to showcase her students’ handiwork. However, the main objective of establishing the GDS fair has been to promote agriculture and educate the community.
Greene Dreher Sterling Fair is a fun-filled and family-friendly event featuring many attractions such as livestock, poultry, agricultural products & exhibits, arts & crafts, demonstrations, baking contests, pie eating contests, pageants, truck & tractor pulls, kids pedal pulls, food, and amusement rides. In 2024, the ten-day Greene Dreher Sterling Fair will be held from Friday, August 23 to Sunday, September 1.
