About the Medieval Faire
Hoggetowne Medieval Faire takes place each year in Gainesville, Florida. The event makes a medieval village come alive for three consecutive weekends in January. During the festival season, over 150 artisans and craftspeople arrive at Hoggetowne to display and sell various goods. Visitors can also see how blacksmiths, wood carvers, weavers, and other master crafters create their works of art.
Hoggetowne Medieval Faire is an opportunity to witness middle ages battles, wander through the medieval marketplace, and participate in old-world games and rides. The festival also features entertainment stages, tasty food, and lots of fun. On top of that – falconers, knife throwers, old-world magicians, jugglers, and gypsy dancers add to the excitement as they fill the streets of Hoggetowne. In 2023, Hoggetowne Medieval Faire will take place on three consecutive weekends in January – i.e. January 14-15, 21-22, and 27-29.
