The 772nd Annual Urs of Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA)
Hazrat Lal Shahbaz Qalandar (RA) was a Sufi saint, poet, and philosopher of the 13th century. His real name was Syed Usman Marwandi. He was born in Marwand (Iran), which is now part of Afghanistan. Shahbaz Qalandar is known for his adequate character, kindness, and preachings about humanity and tolerance. He died on 18 Shaaban in Sehwan Sharif, Pakistan. His Urs is observed every year on 18th Shaaban and the urs celebrations continue for at least three days.
