About the Fair
The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair was first held in 1945. The Montgomery County Agricultural Center Inc. (MCAC) was formed as a non-profit organization on January 7, 1949. Today, the nine-day fair is one of the largest Fairs in the State of Maryland. It is organized every year in mid-August with support from over 800 volunteers.
The Montgomery County Agricultural Fair promotes agriculture through education of the community. The event also offers entertainment, contests, midway, food, fun, animals, activities, and more. In 2024, the Montgomery County Agricultural Fair will be held from Friday, August 9 to Saturday, August 17.
