About the Festival
The Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival (MSAHF) is organized each year on the third weekend of October in Martinsburg, WV. The event celebrates the rich agricultural history of the community and the apple industry which is a valued part of the heritage of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
In 1979, business and community leaders came together to create the signature apple harvest festival with the agenda to promote the apple industry, celebrate the harvest, and promote the welfare of the community. MSAHF is a family event that offers lots of fun, interesting activities, and plenty of apples in a friendly atmosphere. The festival features apple displays, apple pies, contests, crafts, a parade, entertainment, food, and more. In 2024, the four-day Mountain State Apple Harvest Festival will be held from Thursday, October 17 to Sunday, October 20.
