About the Festival
Radford Highlanders Festival is an annual event where you can enjoy live entertainment, food booths, craft vendors, children’s activities, heavyweight games, sheepherding, and more festivities for all ages. The Blue Ridge Mountains provide a beautiful backdrop for the festival and the annual event brings with it an air of excitement.
Radford Highlanders Festival had a humble beginning in 1996 on the grounds of Dedmon Center. Now the festival annually takes place at Radford University located along East Main Street. Over the years, the Highlanders Festival has grown into one of the most popular tourist destinations in the region. In 2024, the Radford Highlanders Festival will be held on Saturday, October 12.
