About Roanoke Strawberry Festival
Roanoke Strawberry Festival, also known as Community School’s Strawberry Festival, is annually held on the first weekend in May at Elmwood Park. The festival offers good old-fashioned family fun and brings the community together. Attendees can enjoy fresh strawberries, chocolate-dipped berries, shortcakes, and other delicious desserts prepared by volunteers. Most of these volunteers are Roanoke Community School students, parents, grandparents, and staff. In 2024, the two-day Roanoke Strawberry Festival will take place on Friday, May 3 and Saturday, May 4.
