About the Renaissance Festival
With 16 stages of exciting entertainment and over 250 artisans, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival features a 16th Century European village. The annual event takes place at the festival grounds in Shakopee, Minnesota. The first festival was a two-week event held in September 1971, attended by over 25000 people. The festival has since relocated to Shakopee and has grown to be one of the largest renaissance fests in the country. The event also features contests, entertainment, games, rides, an artisan marketplace, food, and lots of family fun. In 2024, the Minnesota Renaissance Festival will be held on weekends from Saturday, August 17 to Sunday, September 29.
Related Events
We attended the Feast of Fantasy this last labor day weekend. We sat at the kings table and were very disappointed that a table was added on both ends to gain more seating, while totally obstructing our view . We still enjoyed the feast, but will probably not attend again if this will be the norm
