Sherburne County Fair is a summer tradition that annually takes place in Elk River, Minnesota. On June 1, 1889, a few individuals met together for the purpose of organizing an annual fair to exhibit livestock, crops, machinery, and art. The first fair was a single-day event held in rural Elk River during the fall of 1989. In August 1957, the fair was held for the first time at its current location.
Sherburne County Fair is a family-friendly event that offers lots of fun, entertainment, and activities for all ages. The event features animals, midway rides, a parade, exhibits, a demolition derby, truck & tractor pulls, food, and so much more. In 2024, the four-day Sherburne County Fair will be held from Thursday, July 18 to Sunday, July 21.
