- 1 chicken, cut into pieces
- 3 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 2 teaspoon pepper
- 2 teaspoon paprika
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1 teaspoon white pepper
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- Oil for frying
In a large bowl mix together chicken, buttermilk, oregano, white pepper, 2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper,1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder. Stir to make sure that every chicken piece is evenly coated. Cover and refrigerate for two hours.
Heat oil in a skillet over high heat.
In a separate bowl thoroughly mix together flour, cayenne pepper, 1 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon pepper, 1 teaspoon paprika, 1 teaspoon garlic powder.
Roll the marinated pieces of chicken in the flour and seasonings mix and shake off excess. Fry chicken pieces for about 15 minutes flipping a few times until they are dark golden brown. Drain the fried chicken pieces on paper towels.
