About the Ohio Pawpaw Festival
The Ohio Pawpaw Festival is held annually at Lake Snowden located just outside of Albany, Ohio, on US 50. The festival celebrates North America’s largest edible native tree fruit.
The Ohio PawPaw Festival is a family-friendly event that offers presentations and activities covering pawpaw growing, cooking, genetics, medical use, and other sustainability-related topics. The festival also features competitions for the best and biggest pawpaw, pawpaw-related artwork, pawpaw eating contests, and a pawpaw cook-off. There will be a number of pawpaw foods, such as pawpaw ice creams, popsicles, waffles, cheesecakes, muffins, pancakes, funnel cakes, and other pawpaw treats. Other attractions at the Pawpaw Festival include live music, games, food trucks, arts & crafts booths, horse-drawn wagon rides, kids’ tent, and lots of fun.
In 2024, the three-day Ohio PawPaw Festival will begin on Friday, September 13 and conclude on Sunday, September 15.
