About the Fair
Whiteside County Fair is annually held at the fairgrounds located on Winfield Street in Morrison, Illinois.
The fair’s earliest roots date back to 1856, when Whiteside County Agricultural Society was organized which held the first few fairs in Morrison before moving to Sterling in 1863. However, the fair closed after the 1888 season.
Meanwhile, Whiteside County Central Agricultural Society was organized in 1872 and the first fair was held September 24-27, 1872. Within a few years of its beginning, Whiteside County Fair gained prestige, prosperity, and popularity to become a widely celebrated community tradition.
Whiteside County Fair is a family-friendly and fun-filled event that features livestock, truck & tractor pulls, harness racing, a demolition derby, food, rides, live music, and so much more. In 2024, the five-day Whiteside County Fair will take place from Tuesday, August 13 to Saturday, August 17.
